Red Dress

Wow, October is up and that means my birth month is finally here! I am pretty excited to have my 33rd year of existence, not because I wanted to grow old already, but because I liked the number 33.

Anyway, my birthday is just 8 days away from now and if things would go quite nicely and as planned, I would love to celebrate it with family and friends. I think this will also be a great time to do a housewarming since we just moved in to our new home three months ago.

I had in mind to put a sort of color theme for my birthday and that color is red. I am thrilled to see my guests wearing anything red on that special day of mine. And of course, I will be wearing the same color too, so I am now in search of a nice (plus size) dress that would surely look good on me.

Dress Your One Shoulder

I really love watching ladies who wear one-shoulder dresses. I find the style so sexy and graceful. and a frustration at the same time. I could just sigh every time I see one because I know I will not look good in it given my plump arms which I think would take a lifetime to slim down.

Anyway, if the moment comes that I would be gifted with the sexy figure, I would definitely try on these clothes.

A girl can dream and I am not an exception. Someday I could expose my shoulders too and flaunt them with grace.

Dresses For Special Occasions

We love to celebrate the special occasions in our lives, and when we say celebration, that calls for another set of wardrobes to wear ~ ~ if the budget permits, that is.

One occasion coming right up is my brother's wedding, which is just a week and a day away and I am extremely excited about it. What is nice about weddings is that they fill the atmosphere with intimate sprinkles of romance. It is such a delight to witness two persons in love exchanging vows of love and faithfulness for each other. Moreover, the celebration calls for a reception that is filled with wonderful ambiance, beautiful flowers, and of course beautiful dresses! It would be very nice to see everyone in formal attire ~ ~ including my three kids who are all part of the entourage, and of course the wedding dresses the bride and her maids would be wearing. I haven't seen the bridal dress yet but i think it is more of something like this:


It's really beautiful and elegant, isn't it? The dress above is from Mori Lee and I just love it very much. It may seem a very simple dress but the design from the waist down is intricate and lovely. One would feel like a duchess when wearing one.

Another occasion I am sure lots of girls are looking forward to is prom. The internet has loads of prom dresses to browse through, like the www.4prom.com. It may still be like three months away but hey, being prepared won't hurt at all. Girls can ask for prom dresses as Christmas gifts from their parents and godparents, so as early as now they can do the browsing already.


Looking at these dresses brings me back in time when I was still in high school. These prom dresses 2010 epitome the freshness of youth, yet they establish that the wearers are no longer little girls anymore. The sculptured bodice emphasizes the ripe figure of a girl while its ball gown skirt maintains her innocence and frailty. The rise of Asian fashion has been largely obvious nowadays. It may be attributable to the rising fame of Asian artists and celebrities and their followers are also avidly checking on their every style of clothing.

But whether because of these fashionable celebrities or not, it is very noteworthy that Asian style as far as fashion is concerned is becoming competitive globally. Many Asian artists have made quite a name already in the US or in Europe.

My admiration for Asian clothing is slowly growing in pace and so from time to time I would be going to feature some wonderful clothes and accessories made by Asian hands. I have done some in my very previous posts already.

When it comes to clothing and accessories, Lacoste is one of those brands that I am really wishing to have. Their prices are a bit high, so a mere employee like me receiving only an average salary would definitely have a hard time. But there's no harm in wishing . . . so here's my wish!

I was glad to have found these great ready to wear items by Monique Lhuillier, who is a Filipino. Her designs were so lovely and stylish, never to be put behind from the those collections of other top designers of the world. I became proud of her knowing that a lot of Hollywood celebrities have already worn her dresses on many special occasions, an indication that she has indeed found its place in the fashion world.

Dress Up With Chiffon Fabric!

Every now and then, great fashion designs have been flaunted all over the net for everyone to see. I, for one, drools over the great styles. Of course, these top of the line dresses are created by top designers and therefore much pricey than we could ever think.

We could wipe off the drool . . . and get the style that we want - - of course, with our respective favorite materials. I would like to have a couple of new chiffon fabric dresses, because such fabric is so rich and luxurious to the touch, while being a fabric for all occasions.

Anime Has Fashion Sense

Anime characters have got some great fashion sense too, that is what I noticed on some of their pictures that I happened to take a glimpse of every now and then. Well, their outfits really would be something their creators have already thought of beforehand, because what they put on reflect the personalities that they have. Anime characters have gone popular nowadays and have become sort of celebrities in print. Their clothing preferences have already been followed by their fans.

Here are some pics that I found over the net and I admire these characters for projecting a fashionable and stylish appeal.

I am not much of a fan of anime but my kids love them. And every time I see my kids watch them, I can't help but feel awed by their sense of style. Great tastes by such great characters! Guess I have to know them better then and be able to relate to my kids favorites, haha! And to do that, I have to get acquainted with people who adore anime and get helpful insights and superb reviews from them. I know a place where to find such people, and I have to visit the anime chat room to meet them - - for free!

Color Your Prom

Aside from the Valentines Day, February also marks the most exciting event of a teenage life - - prom. With prom, you get to shop for a dress that you would wear for that one special occasion. Unfortunate for me though, because way back my time in high school, we used to wear a uniform prom dress to avoid unequality.
